- This is a 3rd shift position with Training on 1st shift (7am-3pm) the first 3-4 weeks of hire to get acclimated to business/work tasks.
- Mold Setter – 2nd Shift
- Positions assembled molds on press bed of molding machine bolts to assemble and align die with matrix.
- Installs die on machine using clamps, bolts, and hand tools. Adjusts stroke of ram.
- Connects steam, oil or waterlines to molding machines.
- Sets machine controls to ensure process control during manufacturing cycle according to procedures.
- Places necessary mixtures of resins, dry as required, into hopper.
- Starts up sample mold runs and examine samples to ensure all requirements are in place.
- Verifies critical dimensions and submits the product to Quality Assurance for approval.
- Responsible for general housekeeping of work area.
- Sets up and repairs machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals and manufacturers specifications.
- Mounts, aligns and bolts fixtures, dies and welding heads onto fabricating machines.
- Performs startup and shutdown of equipment.
- Adjusts and sets controls to assure proper machine operation and timing.
- Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Will occasionally load heavy materials to machine.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A medical examination to confirm an individual's ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position is a pre-employment requirement
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs using good posture and lifting techniques, if object is at an awkward angle or height, a 2 person lift or assist device should be used.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
