Be part of the team of students who builds, assembles, and strikes each set all while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for fellow shop workers and other theater collaborators.* Maintain a safe work environment, only using tools you have been trained in and watching out for possible hazards for both you and others in the theater.* Build scenic elements as assigned by the technical director.* Paint scenic elements as assigned by the technical director.* Attend one Saturday training each semester to stay up to date on the various safety practices employed by the scene shop.* Hang and focus lights for each production, including attending Thursday evening call the week before a production opens.* Operate hand and power tools to construct and deconstruct scenery* Measure, cut, and assemble scenery from construction drawings* Hang and circuit lighting and sound equipment* Help maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces* Other relevant tasks as assigned
