Bachelor's degree required; degree in risk management, insurance, finance, business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive risk management, insurance, or claims experience, including at least 2 years of direct supervisory or team-leadership experience.
Construction, electrical, or industrial-sector experience strongly preferred.
Professional designation preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), or similar.
Demonstrated experience building or managing risk programs; familiarity with recognized ERM frameworks such as COSO ERM and ISO 31000 a plus.
Experience with commercial insurance programs, renewals, certificates of insurance, and surety/bonding processes.
Experience overseeing claims management, including workers' compensation.
Experience reviewing contract risk-allocation provisions, including insurance, indemnification, and limitation of liability terms.
Captive insurance experience (feasibility, formation, or captive management) preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, business partners, and external stakeholders.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management information systems (RMIS) or comparable platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
