4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
2–6 years of experience developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical and/or facility-related projects.
Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, including HVAC, compressed air, potable water, and similar systems from concept through final design, implementation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Peripheral knowledge of electrical and structural systems related to a manufacturing facility.
Demonstrated project management experience in construction, construction management, and project coordination.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas and technical information to gain consensus from individuals or teams.
Technical proficiency within mechanical systems and facilities engineering, with expertise in key topics in the area of specialization.
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Ability to comprehend technical drawings and specifications and translate them into actionable plans.
Ability to plan and execute special projects and reporting activities in a structured and organized manner.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working capability with AutoCAD for reviewing and supporting mechanical and facility design work.
Experience with facilities mechanical systems such as centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, and heat exchangers.
Experience with Facilities Management Systems (FMS) and building controls, including specification, design, operation, and optimization across multiple sites.
Ability to balance the wants and needs of customer departments with the requirements of facilities equipment and service teams.
Experience with project flow, budgeting, cost reporting, and project tracking and reporting for continuous improvement methodologies such as PDCA.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
Experience training facilities associates on controls and mechanical/electrical system enhancements.
Experience creating and maintaining roles and responsibility documents and reference documentation for mechanical and control systems.
Moderate physical capability to bend, crouch, push/pull equipment, reach, sit, stand, stoop, and walk as needed during site and equipment activities.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs with strong capability and up to 50 lbs with limited experience.
