High School Diploma or GED
Accredited electrical apprenticeship, two years technical training with two plus years' industrial electromechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in reading and interpreting complex documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books and specifications.
Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems.
Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems.
Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
Experience in working with electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices and electrical/electronic theory.
Experience operating electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
Ability to use a wide variety of metal working, hand, and power equipment.
Experience using precision measuring equipment and welding / torch equipment.
Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability.
Ability to read and understand technical procedures.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs., and ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
