Experience with GibbsCam or Mastercam preferred
Ability to safely and efficiently program and operate a variety of CNC equipment
Review CAD models / blueprints
Define the best sequence of machining steps
Decide tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to be used
Generate program code using CAM software
Conduct quality testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality, and safety
Own improvement projects to make positive changes that are aligned with the companies' objectives
Participate in problem solving activities - Engage in conversation around problems to help come up with the best possible solution
Engage in Team meetings
Use cost analysis tools and other priority setting tools to aid in prioritizing projects
Use project tracker and MDI meetings to engage other resources as needed
Implement creative solutions to make improvements and eliminate waste
Work closely with ME staff to ensure products are meeting requirements
Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as: 10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - facemask required during COVID pandemic
