Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, metal fabrication, welding, machining, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment.
Experience inspecting metal components, fabricated parts, weldments, assemblies, or similar manufactured products.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and work instructions.
Experience using basic precision measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, height gauges, and other measurement tools.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication, welding, machining, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to identify common dimensional, material, fabrication, welding, and workmanship issues.
Basic understanding of GD&T; and dimensional tolerances.
Ability to accurately document inspection results, quality issues, and nonconforming conditions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues accurately and consistently.
Ability to communicate quality concerns effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and management.
Ability to follow established quality procedures, production requirements, customer specifications, and safety standards.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic or written quality documentation.
Must pass a pre-employment screening.
Ability to wear all required PPE for the position.
Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8–10 hour shift.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors in year-round weather, including rain.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. routinely and up to 75 lbs. occasionally while utilizing all proper lifting procedures and practices.
Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to visually inspect parts and identify dimensional, surface, fabrication, welding, and workmanship defects.
