CNC Set up and Operation Technician
Prepare, program, and run computer-controlled machine tools to cut, shape, and turn metal or plastic into precision parts
Machine Setup: Mounts and aligns cutting tools, fixtures, and raw materials into CNC mills, lathes, or turning centers
Programming & Adjusting: Loads, edits, or writes G-code programs and dials in tool offsets
Make minor tooling changes or adjustments when necessary to ensure proper quality
Quality Control: Inspects the first machined piece using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions match blueprints
Operation & Monitoring: Runs production batches, watches the machining process, and adjusts controls if parts go out of tolerance
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Fixes basic machine errors, performs routine upkeep, and solves production issues
Equipment Operation: Set-up and operate a variety of equipment
Operate one or more production machines, within any given work cell, which requires a moderate amount of training
2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Starting pay is at $21.96
