High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 2 Years related experience in discipline or 5 years in Shipboard Piping, machinery, and/or similar installations

Knowledge of Piping systems, vessel equipment (Deck Machinery, Hydro Tests, Visual Inspections, Tank inspections, flushing)

Knowledge of shipbuilding a plus

Knowledge of Marine Classification Society Rules

Knowledge of testing/inspection equipment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints a must or be trainable to read blue prints

Ability to communicate with Production team, Owner, & Class Society representatives

Basic computer skills required

Knowledge of Microsoft a plus (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)

Must be able to enter a confined space

Must be comfortable with heights and use or operation of Manlifts

Employment in this position is contingent upon passing the medical examination

Knowledge of shipbuilding a plus

As certified forklift operators within the operation, they provide safe, accurate, and efficient loading, unloading, movement, and documentation of cargo/freight within a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment, directly contributing to productivity, workflow coordination, and freight integrity.
