Wire Slitter Operator
Set up slitting knives, spacers, tension rolls, and related components per work order requirements
Thread metal coils through the slitter and operate equipment at optimal production speeds
Monitor equipment performance to ensure smooth, efficient operation
Inspect slit material for width, gauge, burrs, and surface condition
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify specifications
Identify and report quality issues promptly
Safely load and unload master coils and finished product using overhead cranes or forklifts
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage
Accurately document production data, including coil ID creation, footage, and scrap tracking
Maintain clear and organized production records
Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S standards
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance as needed
Possess manufacturing or metal processing experience and enjoy hands-on work and operating industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment
Payrate range for this role is $17.00-$20.00/ hr based off experience
