5+ years of related experience involving set-up/operation of precision (high tolerance), machine shop equipment (Aerospace mfg. environment preferred)
High School/(GED) Diploma or Vocational/Technical school equivalent
Possess math skills required to effectively and efficiently read, interpret documents (i.e., blueprints/technical drawings, operation/tool/set-up sheets, procedures, ECN's, routers, etc.). Ability to interpret various types of graphs and data used in problem solving, SPC, monitoring of performance metrics, etc.
Demonstrate effective verbal/written communication skills required for interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization
Ability to set-up and operate machine shop equipment in a effective, efficient, safe and consistent manner
Knowledgeable in the areas of Lean Manufacturing concepts, employee training, GT&D; practices, interpretation of machine shop documentation (blueprints, ECN's, operation/tooling sheets, routers, etc.), inspection methods, effective utilization of measuring equipment/instruments, root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and performance metrics
Must demonstrate creative thinking as it relates to machine shop, inspection and assembly and test fixture manufacture and design input.
