5+ years of experience in one or more MEP trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and modifying MEP drawings.
Experience designing electrical distribution systems, including grounding, back-up power, and general power distribution.
Experience in lighting design and control for building projects.
Experience designing fire alarm and lightning protection systems.
Mechanical design experience, including HVAC system design and building mechanical systems.
Experience in plumbing and fire protection design for building projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and its application in electrical design.
Experience with building design and coordination of MEP systems within an A/E firm environment.
Proficiency with Revit for MEP modeling and coordination.
EIT or PE credential (Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer).
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards for mechanical and HVAC design.
Experience working on diverse project types such as healthcare facilities, data centers, central plants, and municipal buildings.
Ability to prepare detailed schematics, one-line diagrams, and contract documents with a high level of accuracy.
Strong report writing skills to document design decisions, calculations, and system performance.
Interest in pursuing additional professional certificates, with support available for certificate costs.
Desire to grow within an A/E firm environment, including the potential opportunity to become a partner over time.
Ability to work on multiple project types simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.
