Must have experience in hydraulics, hoses, fittings, welding and schematics
High School Diploma (or equivalent);
Three (3) years practical experience in the assembly of heavy machinery / equipment or other related disciplines as evidenced by employment history, training, certification, personal interview and/or practical tests as required.
SKILLS - ability to perform specific technical tasks using normal tools used in equipment assembly such as the layout / termination / connection of wiring and plumbing, lay-out and installation of mechanical equipment and performing operational testing (and repair modification if required) of completed assemblies.
In addition, the ability to work in a flexible environment while interacting with other disciplines (engineering, fabrication, stores, etc) and adapting to changing work priorities are essential.
KNOWLEDGE - the ability to read, interpret and follow drawings / blueprints is essential!
In addition, must be able to perform calculations and solve practical problems related to the assembly of heavy equipment.
Specific knowledge requirements include the methods, techniques, materials, and tools used in equipment assembly as described above in SKILLS.
