High school diploma or GED required
This is an entry level machinist position for those that are enrolled in or have completed machining coursework at an accredited Applied Technical College program.
Requires a general knowledge of machining techniques and methods
Basic machine shop skills using CNC mills, lathes, band saw, and grinders.
Proper selection and safe use of power tools and machining equipment
Tool maintenance and care to ensure long-term equipment serviceability
Perform basic math calculations using a calculator for weights, measurements, and time estimations
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Machining a variety of materials including steel, castings, and forgings
Metal properties relevant to machining and cutting.

Industry-standard safety protocols and practices
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move items in short distances
Regularly required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and squat for extended periods
Use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable) and fitness for duty test (as applicable)
