High School diploma or acceptable equivalent.

Must have state recognized machinist apprentice papers or acceptable shop experience that can be verified by past employers.

Good mechanical aptitude.

Ability to interpret blueprints and/or mechanical drawings.

Ability to operate/use various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers and tape measures.

Ability to stand for 8 hours/day.

Ability to handle moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Required to wear all OSHA mandated safety equipment and to adhere to all company safety practices and policies.

Regular attendance is an essential element of the job.

Vocational education in Machining is preferred.

Knowledge of basic computer skills and general knowledge of G and M coding systems preferred.

1 - 3 years machining experience preferred.

Ability to perform MIG or TIG welding processes is a plus.

Starting Rate of Pay: $ 27.63 per hour

Shift Time: 0230-1030

Hours may vary due to operational need

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator

Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, to lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and to open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force, up to several times per day or more

Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling and/or fork lift operations preferred

If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred

Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred
