You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related specialization from a recognized and approved program.

You will have 15 years experience in refining Linear Programming, including at least 10 years in Linear Programming modeling, optimization, and economics. Additionally, you must possess extensive hands-on experience in refining process engineering, with a primary background in a complex main unit such as Continuous Catalytic Reforming (CCR) or Hydrocracking.

You will have supplementary experience in refinery overall optimization and monitoring including management of product giveaway, blending applications and mass balance performance.

You must have demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard Linear Programming modeling platforms (for example, Aspen PIMS, PIMS-AO, PIMS Platinum, Haverly GRTMPS, Honeywell RPMS) and in supporting tools for crude assay management and sub-model maintenance.

You will be able to demonstrate Linear Programming modeling experience across multiple, diverse refining configurations, including atmospheric and vacuum distillation, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrocracking, continuous catalytic reforming, aromatics, and hydroprocessing. Single-site or single-configuration experience is not acceptable.

Hands-on refining Linear Programming technical service experience is a requirement; experience predominantly on the licensor side or in Linear Programming-related project or design work will not be considered.

You must have a proven track record of applying Linear Programming models to drive significant improvements in refining margin, with specific quantified examples such as margin uplift, crude diet flexibility, product slate optimization, or energy cost reduction.

Extensive knowledge of refining processes and economics, together with familiarity with global crude and product markets and trends, is required.

Within Saudi Arabia

An advanced degree is preferred.

Petrochemicals or chemicals Linear Programming exposure is preferred as an additional strength.

6 years of infrastructure experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within a specific discipline(s)/technology(s) to include 2 years' experience in Systems Operations environment supporting complex environment deployment and infrastructure management activities or applicable IT experience such as IT Management, Software Development, Data Engineering, and Agile Product/Release Management.

4 years of experience in creating, modifying, and maintaining infrastructure and individual system components.

Knowledge and proficient understanding of designing scalable IT system infrastructures, implementing system changes, or automating service delivery and maintenance tasks.

This role requires a strong understanding of CICS architecture, z/OS operating systems, and related mainframe technologies.

Proficiency in programming languages like COBOL, JCL, and REXX, along with experience in mainframe tools and utilities, is essential.

Typically, 7-10+ years of hands-on experience as a CICS Systems Programmer in a z/OS mainframe environment.

This includes deep knowledge of CICS Transaction Server (TS), CTG, and CPSM architecture, internals, and system exits.

Strong expertise in CICS installation, configuration, and maintenance, often including complex Independent Software Vendor (ISV) installations and upgrades.

Proficient in JCL, REXX, and other mainframe scripting languages.

Experience with SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended) for installing and maintaining software.

In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating systems, including configuration, maintenance, and tuning.

Experience with CICS performance tuning and the use of monitoring tools (e.g., RMF, Intellimagic, BMC Mainview).

Understanding of other z/OS subsystems such as DB2, MQ, JES2, z/OS connect, IMS and TCP/IP.

Experience with CICS security, often using RACF or equivalent tools.

Familiarity with automation tools, job scheduling, and monitoring tools.

Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.

Understanding of mainframe hardware and architecture to optimize system performance.

IBM Certified Specialist – CICS Transaction Server for z/OS: This certification is desired.
