Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
10 years of experience in the telecommunications or CATV industry in Laboratory Environments performing test and verification functions and tasks with CATV equipment, both RF and fiber optic
Candidates with less experience may be considered if they are otherwise well suited for the role
Expert Knowledge and understanding of CATV Access RF such as , laser Transmitters, EDFAs, receivers, RF nodes, RF amplifiers, Ethernet Transport devices, Media Converters, DWDM and CWDM passives, Digital reverse technologies, among others
Have strong programming skills in LabView and/or Python
Use SCPI and GPIB protocols to automate VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, and Signal Generator measurements
Ability to work with minimal supervision is required
Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Must be familiar with test equipment like Spectrum Analyzers and Network Analyzers
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required in order to build test systems and move test equipment
