Must maintain a safe work area, to include wearing appropriate PPE and following safety policy.
Effectively test, troubleshoot, and repair analog and digital circuits to the component level.
Diagnose and repair common drive faults (power supply, IGBTs, capacitors).
Inspection, testing, cleaning, assembling/disassembling, and repair of elevator drive systems and control boards.
Competent knowledge and use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other test equipment.
Read and follow board and system-level schematics for both analog and digital circuits.
Interpret datasheets and effectively apply them to circuit operation and diagnostics.
Competent fine-pitch solder and de-solder skills including through-hole and surface-mount components.
Document signal readings and test results. Document notes to assist personal development and memory.
Ability to follow documented test procedures with little oversight.
Assist with the development and implementation of test strategies for undocumented PCB assemblies and drive systems.
Maintain productivity without compromising quality or impacting warranty.
Report issues with test stations/equipment to senior technicians or lab manager.
Follow ESD protocols and procedures.
