Second Shift: 3:30pm- 12:00am

High school diploma or GED

1-3 years of experience in CNC machine operation

Ability to operate & enter data into standard Windows based computers

Ability to operate equipment (mixers, transfer tanks, ovens, saw, planer, lathe, milling, tumbler, dust collector, hand tools, fork lift)

Ability to read and understand QC inspection documentation

Visual acuity to identify surface quality defects 1/32" and larger

Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds

Regular exposure to noise, dust, high heat and chemicals

Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles

Frequent reaching with hands and arms

Constant standing and use of hands while performing essential functions of the job

Applicant must be a U.S citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.

2nd shift position: Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

High School of Vocational School Diploma and/or GED required

0-2 years of experience related production experience in a manufacturing environment

Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions

An understanding of basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers)

May require the use of fork trucks, overhead cranes, hand carts and hand tools

Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck license and/or overhead crane license and must obtain a lockout/tagout certification

Position requires direct contact on the manufacturing floor and requires ambulation

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion's determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion's business requirements.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with some machining experience is a plus
