Must be able to provide proper high-level disinfection of probes.
Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.
Obtain and maintain the following certifications: fetal echo, nuchal translucency, CLEAR within 3 years.
Graduate of an accredited sonography program Required
Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
Registered Medical Sonographer or ARRT Sonography or Reg Cardiac Sonographer - CCI
Fetal Echocardiogram Certified within 3 years Required
Nuchal Translucency Certified within 3 years Required
CLEAR Certified within 3 years Required
Minimum 1 year Maternal Fetal Medicine/Perinatal Sonography Required
Has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study.
Able to independently perform job functions.
Competent in all aspects of Ultrasound, patient positioning, exposure factors.
Must understand anatomy and pathology and how they affect the quality of a procedure.
Must be able to effectively perform the following: transvaginal ultrasounds for evaluation of cervical insufficiency, 3D and 4D ultrasonography for evaluation of complex facial, spine, and cardiac defects, first trimester nuchal translucency ultrasounds for early genetic evaluation.
Ability to operate all workstations associated with the US department.
Ability to push / retrieve images from the Ultrasound console to PACS.
