Bachelor's degree in a technical field; preferably a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience, 7+ years preferred.
Graduate degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
Solid technical skills, background in metal forming, tooling, and assembly line production is desirable.
Demonstrated experience working within and supporting a quality system.
Excellent project organization and leadership skills, detail orientated.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a strong "sense of urgency".
Ability to work both independently and with cross functional teams.
Familiar with lean practices.
Experienced in successful product launches participating via a new product development (NPD) process.
May have Junior Engineer or Analysts report to this position.
Work environment is one of a professional office environment connected to a manufacturing facility. This role would require the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work on a PC.
There would be times where the person would need to be able to walk out on a manufacturing floor and would need to wear appropriate personal protective equipment as well as navigate possible uneven surfaces.
Lifting/carrying of up to 35 pounds occasionally, bending, squatting, twisting rarely.
