High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical design, electrical design, drafting, or a related discipline preferred.
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in electrical/mechanical design, engineering drafting, or product documentation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with demonstrated experience using Cadence OrCAD.
Experience creating and maintaining OrCAD schematic symbols and printed circuit board footprints.
Experience supporting printed circuit board layout, mechanical design, specialized tooling, or electronic product packaging.
Working knowledge of CorelDRAW or similar technical illustration software.
Strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;), engineering drawing standards, and configuration and revision-control practices.
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining bills of materials, manufacturing routers, part-number records, and engineering documentation.
Experience independently processing ECNs and evaluating their impact on product and manufacturing documentation.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Experience using ERP, MRP, or product-lifecycle management systems; experience with AS/400 or KBM is preferred.
Familiarity with engineering part-numbering systems and document-control practices.
Ability to use calipers, calculators, CAD reference materials, and traditional drafting equipment as needed.
Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, identify documentation discrepancies, and coordinate their resolution.
Experience providing technical guidance, training, or backup support to designers or documentation personnel.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and commitment to documentation accuracy.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Configuration Management, and other functional teams.
