3+ years of Aircraft Structures Mechanic (Experience in either commercial or defense or relevant trade apprenticeship would be considered)

3+ years of experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications

Ability to close tolerance drill within .003 & Ability to precision measure within .003

Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable

A Bachelor's degree and/or five or more years of experience in hospital maintenance and/or construction within a healthcare setting are required.

A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in healthcare-related facility equipment and systems operations, including expertise in chiller systems, steam boilers, hydraulic systems, building controls, electrical systems, and air handlers.

Broad knowledge of TJC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agency standards is essential.

A valid driver's license is a prerequisite.

May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts.

May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

Membership in a state or national healthcare engineering association is preferred.

Preferred: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).

CLEARANCE: BI investigation

Must be US citizen

High School Diploma.

Five or more years of experience in maintenance of industrial equipment (480V) including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems to identify failed components and make repairs.

Extensive knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, hydrostatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Ability to work from facility drawings and manufacturer's documentation in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

Must be able to pass the following KSC-provided physicals: Confined Space, Respirator

Able to work in a clean room environment, enclosed areas, and at heights up to 30 feet

Able to read, comprehend and follow written and oral instructions

Computer literate. Will need to complete work orders and initiate orders for repair parts and supplies.

Certification as a Licensed Electrician.
