Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Aerospace, or other related discipline from an accredited college.

Entry level understanding of basic hand tools and basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;)

Demonstrated ability for basic problem solving.

Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, SolidWorks, or similar modeling software.

This position will require a government security clearance.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment/tools used in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of machine / tooling mechanical design.

Knowledge of general manufacturing / integration processes.

Knowledge of engineering materials and methods.

Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex issues.

Experience with CAD systems.

High school diploma or GED required.

3-5 years of precision machining experience in aerospace or a similar regulated industry.

Hands-on experience with CNC machining centers (HAAS, Mazak, Okuma, or similar).

Strong understanding of aerospace materials, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and process specifications.

Skilled in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of both CNC and manual equipment.

Working knowledge of GD&T; and machining to aerospace tolerances.

Interpret complex aerospace blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications including GD&T.;

Plan and perform setups, tooling selection, and machining operations with minimal supervision.

Program and edit CNC code (G/M code) and adjust offsets to ensure precision dimensions.

Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMM (as applicable).

Document inspection results per AS9100 and internal quality control procedures.

Ensure compliance with all FAA, EASA, and internal safety and quality requirements.

Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and recommend process improvements.

Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to all 5S and safety policies.

Completion of an accredited machinist or aerospace manufacturing technical program preferred.

Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA Part 145 repair station quality standards a plus.

Job Schedule: 4/10: Employees work 10 hours day, 4 days a week

Familiarity with rocket motor manufacturing or similarly complex production systems

Six Sigma certification and/or Lean certification

Knowledge of capacity analysis, production scheduling, and continuous improvement methods

Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python

Knowledge of facility optimization, discrete event simulation, or advanced industrial engineering methods

Experience supporting complex, high-reliability, or highly regulated manufacturing operations

Strong knowledge of process improvement, production planning, capacity analysis, and manufacturing performance metrics

Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time

Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities

May need to stand for long periods of time

Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery

Maintains facility assets through scheduled preventative maintenance and repair activities which includes but not limited to roof inspections and repairs, concrete and asphalt paving inspections and repairs, concrete industrial wear-slab inspections and repairs including joint cleaning, routing, and filling, product racking inspections and repairs, automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) inspections and repairs, dock equipment (IE: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pit or vertical dock levelers; manual or electric dock doors; manual, electric, or hydraulic truck restraints; dock seals or shelters), inspections and repairs

Responsible for logging time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of work orders, P.M.s, etc.

Responsible for daily refrigeration operator duties including ePSM inspections and logs

Refrigeration Operator II / RETA: CIRO (preferred)
