1-year certificate from a technical school and a minimum 2-3 years of experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to document individual work orders.
Ability to speak effectively to co-workers, supervisor, and other departments to clarify work orders and blueprints.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Willing and able to be forklift Certified.
Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring equipment.
The employee must have the ability to sit, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or lay down to complete tasks.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds individually and over 40 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus to read BOMs, work orders, and shop orders.
May be exposed to various workplace hazards, including but not limited to chemicals, machinery, and noise.
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
