Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited program
At least six years of related/relevant professional work experience or OR equivalent education and related facility mechanical experience required
Professional work experience with mechanical HVAC, plumbing and gas & fluid distribution systems including HVAC equipment sizing and selection, building domestic water & sewage system sizing, piping sizing calculations
Experience performing requirements and constructability reviews of detailed design submittal packages
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
Desire to attain a Professional Engineer License once in the position
Professional knowledge and application of ASHREA 62.1 and 90.1 Standards
Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
Experience in the design, development or implementation of MILCON facilities
Experience was building energy modelling software, such as Trane Trace, Carrier HAP
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good writing skills to document facility requirements and make the necessary reports and correspondence
Excellent interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with colleagues, auditors, customers and vendors
Understanding of project managerial relationships and operations
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Good planning, time management and organization skills
At Least 8 years of related professional work experience
