5 years of direct experience in System Safety Engineering

Comprehensive expertise applying SAE * ARP4754A/B and ARP4761/A methodologies to civil aircraft programs.

Deep experience flowing safety metrics down to engineering requirements and managing V&V; (Validation & Verification) baselines.

Strong background collaborating with HFE teams on human performance models, cockpit alert mechanics, and crew error mitigations.

Working knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 design assurance workflows, including defining FDAL/IDAL metrics.

Experience auditing and validating safety artifacts provided by suppliers.

Working knowledge of all system engineering disciplines: propulsion, fuel, avionics, electrical, hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear and environmental

Advanced proficiency in conducting FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMEA/FMECA, CMA, PRA, and Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA).

Practical mastery of industry safety-modeling suites, such as FaultTree+ or CAFTA.

Expert use of digital traceability databases, such as IBM DOORS.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software to trace failure modes in digital architectures.

Exposure to designing or supporting Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) engineering simulator protocols and flight test data capture.

Extensive knowledge and experience with GD&T; a must

Proven ability to define small-to-medium complex detail part fabrication, assembly, and installation tooling

2D/3D Drawing reviews and approvals for Engineering designs and specifications to ensure manufacturability of detail parts, assemblies, and installations

Proven ability to trouble-shoot defects, manufacturing errors, and time consumption/ learning curve issues to improve shop floor performance

Project management experience as a Mfg. Engineer

Experience in an IPT (Integrated Product Team) Member.

Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical or aerospace preferred

CATIA V5/ V6 experience is a plus

SAP experience is a plus

High school diploma or GED is required.

Basic PC literacy is required.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and operate basic shop machinery is required.

Ability to move and lift materials up to 30 lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, or crawl for extended periods of time.

Certified Fluid Power (CFP) Mechanic Certification would be an asset.

2-3 years of industry-related experience or 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical environment is preferred .

Understanding of basic fluid power theory and ability to read engineering drawings is preferred.

USD $81,352.00 - USD $88,025.00 /Yr.

Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
