Must be able to pass a standard AWS test in the horizontal (2G) for 1" and vertical (3G), for structural steel in the size of 1".
This position requires the physical capability to perform welding work, moderate to heavy lifting.
Position requires knowledge of steel and sheet metal fabrication and welding, specifically welding procedures and the operation of welding equipment.
Also requires the ability to read the welding requirements of fabrication drawings and travelers.
Ability to do moderate fit-up to include meeting drawing requirements and dimensions.
Welding certification is preferred but not required. Must meet VLI welding tests/requirements.
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, crouch, bend and occasionally lift and/or move up to (40) pounds.
Must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, climbing,
Bending, reaching, lifting, and walking.
Must have command of sight, hearing, and touch.
Should be able to properly lift moderate and heavy steel parts, equipment, and supplies on a routine basis.
Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
