Full-Time | Non-Exempt Hourly Position
Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience Team Members combine outstanding customer service with climbing instruction, sales, facility operations, and community building
Experience in customer service, hospitality, recreation, retail, fitness, or sales preferred
Familiarity with POS or CRM systems (Approach experience is a plus)
Interest in climbing, fitness, or outdoor recreation
Commitment to continual learning, professional growth, and constructive feedback
First 90 Days of Employment: successfully complete HiClimb's instructor development program and become certified to independently teach introductory climbing classes
Complete at least 30 climbs during the probationary period
Become proficient in top-rope belaying using both manual and assisted-braking belay devices
Demonstrate proficiency tying and inspecting the following climbing knots: Figure Eight Follow-Through, Figure Eight on a Bight, Overhand on a Bight
Demonstrate the ability to properly fit, inspect, and explain climbing equipment
Successfully complete HiClimb's belay certification standards
Demonstrate the ability to independently teach Climbing 101 and Auto Belay Orientation
Consistently apply HiClimb's operational procedures and risk management standards on the climbing floor
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and work at height when required
Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Ability to work in an active indoor climbing environment
Starting pay of $17.00 per hour
