Minimum two years full time working experience in the Safety field required
It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).
The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.

Basic math skills.
Must be able to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and climb in and out of trailers
Knowledge and adherence to all relevant safety procedures
Requires a minimum of 10 hours of standing, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
Follow company policies and process standards
Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
High school diploma or GED required.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Must be able to read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Operate grinders and other hand/pneumatic tools
Must have Aluminum welding experience.
Written and verbal communication skills.
2 years of MIG welding experience preferred.
