2nd shift

2ND SHIFT - Shift Differential $2.50/hour Hours: 1:30pm - 10:00pm

Read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with fractional measurements and decimals.

Set up, adjust, and operate all machine tools in your area of responsibility in order to produce various parts within specifications from blueprints.

Read and understand manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and use good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

Work accurately with basic keyboard and monitor interfaced with the mainframe computer to enter work order data and correct qualities as required.

Hold very close tolerances and surface finish requirements.

Working knowledge or ability to learn to use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators, CMM, and other precision measuring instruments.

A demonstrated history of good attendance and a safe work record.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

5+ years of manual machining working with CNC lathes, mills and surface grinders.

The ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and other documents.

Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.

Computer proficiency.

Applicants for employment opportunities must be able to meet export control requirements.

Experience working with stainless steel or duplex stainless steel preferred.

CNC Horizontal mill experience preferred.

Lean manufacturing methods preferred.

MON TUE WED THU FRI 10:00pm - 6:30am

18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work

Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Prior experience in machining or a related field

Ability to work extremely close tolerances.

Ability to layout and plan machining operations from prints, sketches or verbal instructions with limited supervision.

Advanced knowledge of machine equipment and machining operations of various machines: horizontal and vertical lathes, layout machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal mills, grinders, deburring tools, fixtures, radial and angular drill press, forklifts, cranes and various forms of rigging, jib hoists, personal computers, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.

Advanced knowledge and accuracy in using various measuring devices: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.

Full understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function of the job.

Ability to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, job scopes, and verbal instructions.

Pass annual dimensional inspection tests

Ability to complete layouts of most parts.

High School Diploma or Equivalency

5-8 years' experience with rotating turbo machinery
