Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting

A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with ability to read and write Spanish

Must have strong prioritization skills and feel comfortable taking the initiative to deliver results

Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial systems

Educations/Skills

Oversees the daily activities of the accounting department and ensures that all major projects and reports are completed accurately and on time

Reviews and analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

Ensures that all accounting processes align with GAAP

Maintains documented system of accounting policies and procedures

Assesses current practices and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements

Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, and maintaining strong employee relationships

Works with external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed in a timely manner

Coordinates and prepares individual income tax returns for Sisters and IRS Form 1099-NEC's for the Congregation

Updates and maintains the fixed asset database for the Congregation

Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

Works with Finance Manager to execute domestic and international wire transfers

Works with Finance Manager to execute investment account transactions through the BNY NEXEN client portal

Collaborates with the Finance Manager to serve as the backup to the CFO in their absence

Education/Skills

Master's degree in Business/Accounting preferred

Knowledge of tax filings for non-profit organizations is highly desirable

Certified Public Accountant preferred

CHS (Certified Histocompatibility Specialist) and/or CHT (Certified Histocompatibility Technologist) by the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ABHI) and/or Board of Certification for Medical Technologist (MT) or * Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or * Histotechnologist (HTL) or * Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or * American Medical Technologists (AMT)

Four (4) years of experience in laboratory operations for HLA

Including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity

Hospital experience is preferred

Microbiology a plus

Preferably in an acute care hospital setting

Six (6) years is preferred

You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

We operate in a shift bid environment.

High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Possesses a valid Driver's License.

Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

Supervisory experience is required.

Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.

Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.
