Experience with precision measuring equipment.
Strong understanding of material specifications and PMI techniques.
Working knowledge of warehouse distribution operations including shipping, receiving, packaging, inventory controls, etc.
Working knowledge of, or ability to learn the industry standards, quality codes, and customer specifications involved in MRC Global's quality process.
Strong reasoning and reading skills to be able to review and interpret quality codes and to analyze potentially nonconforming material.
Self-starter and good communicator with the ability to work as both an effective quality inspector and as a member of a team.
Ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, cranes, and other typical warehouse material handling equipment.
Ability to manage direct reports to accommodate changing requirements and to fulfill all departmental responsibilities.
Ability to effectively analyze quality data and to present results, determine trends, etc.
Ability to recognize the need for process change, and a willingness to implement changes when beneficial to the department and to MRC Global.
