BS or AS degree in a life science field.
1+ years of on-site medical scribing experience; remote scribing experience does not qualify.
Demonstrated experience with EMR systems and accurate medical documentation.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to ophthalmology and retina care.
Experience in patient care or medical assisting within a clinical environment.
High typing speed with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to multi-task effectively in an extremely fast-paced clinic that may see 80–100 patients per day.
Self-motivated (“Type A” personality) with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a large clinical team and communicate clearly with physicians and staff.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare privacy standards.
