Read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Set up, adjust, and operate all machine tools in your area of responsibility in order to produce various parts within specifications from blueprints.
Read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and use good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and work with fractional measurements and decimals.
Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
Computer proficiency.
Hold very close tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Working knowledge or ability to learn to use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators and other precision measuring instruments.
A demonstrated history of good attendance and a safe work record.
You also will need to be willing to work overtime, call-ins, etc. as needed to meet customer requirements.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
8+ years of manual machining working with manual engine lathes, VTL's, HBM's and surface grinders.
Experience working with very tight tolerance of +/- .001.
Horizontal boring mill experience is a must.
