Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have at least a CDL B
Air Brake Endorsements
Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire
Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
Physical Requirements: Regularly lift and carry heavy loads, often up to 70 pounds or more
Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching to collect garbage
Long hours of driving, often in congested conditions
Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow
High noise levels from trucks and machinery
Potential exposure to hazardous materials and unpleasant odors
