ISBE Educational Interpreter Approval (or eligibility to obtain)

EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, or national certification (NIC/RID) or Illinois BEI certification

Associate's degree or 60 college semester hours (or equivalent qualifying test)

Background check and TB clearance

Fluency in ASL and adherence to the RID Code of Professional Conduct

IDHHC Interpreter License preferred (required when interpreting for Deaf adults, such as parents at IEP meetings)

Pay: $24/hr-$32/hr

1 week PTO in first 6 months

Mattoon Schedule: 2nd shift Sunday- Thursday, 3 pm-1130pm

6+ months of experience working as a diesel mechanic.

Awareness of operational safety requirements and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies.

Ability to detect technical malfunctions in the machines.

Sound understanding of using all repair tools, equipment, and testing machinery.

Good visual acuity

Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Full-Time

High school diploma, GED, or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) certificate.

Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or one of the following: Cued Speech TEC Unit certification, American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACCI) Level 4 or above, Education Sign Skills Evaluation - Interpreter (ESSES) Level 4 or above, or Educational Interpreter Performance Evaluation (EIPA) Level 4 or above.

Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of core subject areas, and knowledge of child development.
