Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support fabrication, welding, assembly, and machining operations.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to identify tooling needs and develop practical solutions.
Review and improve existing tooling designs for performance, durability, and ease of use.
Specify materials, components, and processes for tooling fabrication.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal fabrication teams to ensure timely and cost-effective tooling builds.
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing tooling layouts and ergonomics.
Maintain documentation and revision control for all tooling designs and related specifications.
Troubleshoot performance issues and provide on-floor support during implementation.
Ensure all designs comply with company safety standards and industry best practices.
