Machine Operator I
Sets up and operates production machinery such as CNC saws, lathes, milling machines, drills, shapers, boring mills and grinders
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and parts lists
Studies and interprets assembly instructions, and verifies specifications
Conducts dimensional and visual part inspections to prints and specifications using standard quality assurance inspection equipment
Completes preventative maintenance, troubleshoots malfunctions, and performs minor repairs as needed
Communicates errors in product, equipment, and other issues that may arise in fulfilling orders
Fills orders in a timely manner by operating warehouse equipment and machinery including operating a fork lift
Computing and optimizing yields, and cutting material to size
Loads and unloads delivery trucks as needed, using SAP to receive and ship materials
Processes operational activities in SAP through work orders and prepares proper documentation including transfer orders, bills of lading, delivery notes, work orders, call tags for non-conforming material and others as required
Resolves assembly and production issues and communicates errors in the product line, equipment and or issues in fulfilling orders
Participates actively in Continuous Improvement activities and submits ideas to help drive improvement
Ensures the workplace and environment are clean and safe
Follows Company Safety policies and procedures and looks for ways to improve safety

Verifiable, documented work experience that meets or exceeds the minimum training and work time requirements outlined in NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 for certification as a Level III Examiner. The candidate's experience portfolio must satisfy the specific hour requirements for each NDT method for which they will be responsible.
Current NDT Level III certification from a recognized body (e.g., ASNT) in a minimum of three (3) of the following methods: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
Demonstrated experience acting in a responsible NDT Level III capacity under a NAVSEA 271 compliant program, including procedure development, equipment selection, and personnel qualification.
Proven experience developing and administering an NDT personnel qualification and certification program in accordance with both SNT-TC-1A and the superseding requirements of NAVSEA 271.
Experience performing NDT on critical welded structures, pressure vessels, castings, or forgings for naval or other critical defense applications.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) due to contractual requirements.
