The base hourly rate for this position is $28.09.

Required to respond to call ins and work the call in request

One-year certificate from college or technical school; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must own tools and maintain the necessary tools and be proficient in their use and care

The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules.

The employee must frequently, lift, push or pull 25 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Employees must be able to work in environments that may be extremely hot and humid or cold depending upon the operation and the season.

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment which includes steel toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection in certain areas may be required to where dust masks, respirators, or head protection.

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school (preferred)

Mechanic license or equivalent work experience

Welding certificate or equivalent work experience

Lathe certificate or equivalent work experience

Forklift, Diesel Mechanic certificates or equivalent work experience

Machinist certificate or equivalent work experience

Capability to perform preventative maintenance on your assigned machine

Able to climb ladders and work in elevated workplaces

Capable of working in tight close spaces

Ability to make quality control checks and adjustments at the assigned area and/or other related equipment.

Willingness and ability to learn and use some basic computer-related operating skills

Willing to work any shift

Preferred kiln forklift experience

Industrial experience and post-secondary education would be considered an asset

Minimum of six (6) months in a manufacturing or industrial environment

May be required to work long and irregular hours, unusual shifts, Sundays, holidays and unexpected overtime.
