Four years experience which provides knowledge of:
Working on parts which require holding to exacting tolerances when necessary, determine trim lines from blueprints or templates.
Aircraft sheet metal hand finishing, bending, forming, using routers, circular saws, power brakes to form, pierce, contour, or straighten metal parts and power rolls to contour sheet metal extrusions, and structural tubing.
Run, program and set up, numerically controlled brakes, water jets, slip roll, rotary shapers, hydro press, punch press and, to perform an operation within their capacity to cut, shape and drill flat and formed sheet metal and extrusion stock.
Makes minor adjustments when the machines perform improperly.
Documented heat treat experience with familiarity of processes such as annealing, normalizing, quenching, check and straightening.
Completion of a high-quality industrial-based machine shop training program which is typically 800-1600 training hours in duration would offset six months of the four-year requirement.
Employee must be able to read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints and understand heat treat specifications and nomenclature.
