High School Diploma or GED is required.
NCCER Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) level 3 certification or equivalent training or equivalent experience in precision measuring, complex mechanical component installation, and alignment procedures.
Blueprint & schematic reading for complex industrial equipment.
Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment systems).
Advanced alignment techniques (prealignment, shim fabrication, dial indicator alignment).
Fabrication & repair of machine parts, including welding, grinding, and turning.
Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems knowledge (pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, seals).
Vibration analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial conveyors.
Rigging & hoisting for heavy machinery installation and maintenance.
Experience with precision alignment and preventive maintenance of large-scale machinery.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their repair.
Industrial machinist experience and/or precision mechanical rebuild experience.
Knowledge of MSHA or other industry-specific regulations if applicable.
Ability to follow and enforce safety and quality procedures.
Prior experience in power plants, heavy manufacturing, or large-scale industrial facilities is required.
