12 semester (or 18 quarter) units in Early Childhood Education, including coursework in child development, curriculum, and family/community
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of infant development, responsive caregiving practices, and age-appropriate learning activities
Ability to meet all state childcare licensing and training requirements
Ability to successfully complete state and federal background checks
Ability to lift and carry infants, sit on the floor, bend, stoop, and remain actively engaged throughout the day
In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
In addition, this position often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
