5+ years of hands on experience in preventative and predictive maintenance of power distribution and control equipment or equivalent education and experience. Experience to include installing, maintaining, testing, & repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar electrical, control and automation equipment.

Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and electrical (CSA/NFPA/UL) regulatory codes and standards.

Must have general PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Word, Excel and OneNote as well as ability to use a smartphone to perform daily work tasks.

Basic understanding and ability to interpret detailed electrical schematics & mechanical drawings.

Ability to work independently and in remote locations.

Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E training.

NETA/NICET Certified (ETT Level II or higher) in electrical equipment testing.

Experienced and proficient in starting up and commissioning LV and MV generator paralleling switchgear.

Advanced understanding of industrial electrical equipment (switchgear, transfer switches, circuit breakers, generators).

Advanced understanding of industrial control equipment (metering, protective relaying, relay ladder logic, Programmable Logic Controllers - PLCs and HMI's).

2 Year Technical degree or equivalent

3 years' experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician or ALPLA apprenticeship program required

Excellent diagnostic skills for identifying and fixing mechanical issues.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Certification in PLC programming, robotics, or automation systems.

Industry certifications such as Certified Maintenance Technician (PMMI), Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or similar

Strong PLC and automation troubleshooting skills (automation inputs and outputs)

Excellent knowledge of Powered automation and drives/controllers

10hour OSHA

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
