Strong knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-P, GTAW, and SMAW welding processes, techniques, and settings.

Experience with welding automation and controls.

Basic understanding of electricity and how the variables impact the arc performance and the weldment.

Bachelor of Science Welding Engineering (**BSWE**) or Bachelor of Science Welding Engineering Technology (**BSWET)** degree required.

Required 0-3 years of experience in welding engineering or related fields.

3-10 years of experience in welding engineering or related fields.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm with over time as needed

10-hour shift

Must remain current on all welding methods required by NGP or our Customers.

Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude, proficiency in shop math (fractions, decimals, metric), ability to read and follow specific routing instructions, ability to read and understand setup instructions, ability to read blueprints, proficiency in the use of appropriate measuring instruments (tape measure, dial calipers), ability to check quality of parts against templates.

Must pass the NGP Weld Test.

Must have demonstrated ability to handle production requirements

Must have the ability to stand for 10-hour shift.

Able to bend, twist, stoop to remove parts from baskets and lift to work area.

Able to load parts into work area and complete baskets without damaging the part.

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Must be a US citizen

A technical degree/certificate in Welding * In lieu of a technical degree/certificate, an equivalent combination of 1-3 years of experience in welding of alloys could be substituted

Basic understanding of blueprints

Basic math skills

Ability to read a tape measure

Ability to read weld symbols and sizes

Experience with TIG welding is desired but not required

Work 36 hours per week and get paid for 40 hours.

Full-time

High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and one (1) year related work experience; or three (3) years' experience in an avionics/electronic career field.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Possess a working knowledge of the Gulfstream Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications.

Computer keyboard skills necessary.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
