H.S. Diploma or GED
Three years mechanical and/or structural assembly experience.
Has thorough knowledge of use of the above tools and of code numbers for different types of rivets, bolts, nuts, screws, etc.
Power tools: Drills, sanders, rivet guns, rivet squeezes, etc.
Hand tools: Squares, hammers, punches, pencil compass, chisels, wrenches, pliers, cutters, saw, screwdriver, scribe, scales, snips, dividers, etc.
Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and blueprints.
Must be able to comply with specific safety policies.
Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
Basic Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions, and simple software programs with assistance.
Critical thinking skills and good decision-making thought processes
Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization.
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, scales, tape measure, and apply decimals
Read and understand internal procedures and policies
Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions
May perform structural repair and rework on assemblies.
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Required to comply with safety policies.
