Must understand assembly, bonding, composite materials, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop jobs.
Knowledge of flight hardware, tooling, and ground support equipment.
Advanced math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, GD&T; Math)
Set up and operate band saws, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, hoist/crane equipment, etc.
Knowledge in use of hand tools (drill motors, grinders, basic measurement Instruments, etc.)
Minimum six years' experience as Toolmaker; including prior experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing setting.
Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, or rain.
Ability to work onsite, including hours outside of a normal working day, to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to walk the shop floor to obtain a visual on job status.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes in a safe manner.
