The technician must have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar education environment.
The technician must be able to setup and operate tools required for assembly including, but not limited to standard hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and feeler gauges, vise, arbor press, micrometers, depth mics, calipers and microscope.
Basic blueprint reading and comprehension is also required.
Must be able to operate equipment required for testing including, but not limited to; multimeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, pressure gauges and transducers, data recorders, load cells, flowmeters.
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year similar job experience
Regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to stand for
long periods of time (such as working at a test bench).
Must have good
dexterity
with hands and fingers.
Technicians assigned to work in the clean room are required to complete
training on clean room protocol per VI-1000 before working unsupervised and
without escort in the clean room.
Technicians assigned to work on the Navy test pad are required to
complete training on system operation with the responsible Manager/Supervisor before
working in this area.
