Required – Bachelor's degree in child life, child development, psychology, or related field.

Required – Completion of accredited Child Life Internship with eligible to sit for Child Life Certification examination.

1+ year of experience in child life, child and family studies, child development, or related field.

Required – Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability) and travel throughout and between facilities.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week on-call crisis intervention to youth.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekends.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, human services, or behavioral sciences field required. Bachelor's degree in other fields will be accepted with a minimum of two years of full-time experience working in relevant family, children/youth or community service capacity. * Relevant alternative experience may substitute for the bachelor's-level degree requirement in individual cases, subject to approval by the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

Previous experience working in a relevant family, children/youth, or community service capacity required if degree is in a field other than human services.

Must be capable of extensive travel and driving.

Must be able to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week on-call crisis intervention to youth.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekends.

Ability to transport youth, volunteers, and others.

Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Obtain wraparound practitioner certificate within 2 years of hire date. Must maintain certificate once obtained, including being re-credentialed annually.
