High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Successful completion of Surgical Technology program, either technical or military

One year experience

Basic CardiacLife Support (BCLS) certification required.

Certification in Surgical Technology

Proficient with healthcare technology and surgical equipment.

* ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS registered for Ultrasound and one of the following Upon Hire Required or * RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Required or * RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer RVS through Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) Required or * RT(S) Required or * RT(VS) Required

BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

2 years of experience in a hospital inpatient, outpatient/ambulatory setting as a vascular sonographer Preferred

Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S).

One of the following registries are required: Abdomen (AB), or Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).

BLS certification is required.

Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program required in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.

Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance.

Work requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting during normal operation.

Requires mental skills to read and comprehend patient orders and technical materials.

Motor coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment.
